Сообщается, что древесина A. mangium легко лущится, и был получен шпон приемлемого качества, плотный и гладкий (Chai, 1989). Древесина также подходит для производства декоративного шпона.

Древесина A. mangium была успешно использована для изготовления древесностружечных плит (Mergen et al., 1983). Сообщается, что она подходит для многих восстановленных изделий из древесины, таких как древесно-волокнистая плита средней плотности (ДВП) (Tomimura et al., 1987). Теплотворная способность древесины также относительно высока, 4800–4900 ккал на кг, поэтому из древесины можно производить хорошее биотопливо, достаточно качественный древесный уголь, древесные угольные брикеты и активированный уголь (Awang and Taylor, 1993).
