I rolled my eyes. "I swear you think with your dick."
Aideen cackled. "You mean vagina?"
"Yeah, I mean vagina but sayin' dick sounds better."
Aideen continued to laugh then hissed a little and covered her face with her hands. I glanced at her every so often during the five minute drive back to my apartment complex. I parked in my usual spot, then Aideen and myself got out of the car. After I locked it we quickly scurried across the car park and into my apartment building. We took the stairs two at a time until we got to the fifth floor where my apartment was located. I opened my hall door with lightening like speed because I didn't want to be caught by Mr. Pervert again dressed in just my nightdress.
Luckily, we got inside with no one seeing us. Aideen and I then went into the bathroom where I got out my first aid kit while she pulled her dress off then pulled down her underwear and sat on the toilet.
I was opening an antiseptic packet when I glanced up at her through the mirror and snorted, "Do you reckon lads do this?"
Aideen opened her eyes and lazily smiled at me as she said, "Willingly go to the toilet with another lad in the room? Nah, they would call each other gay."
I chuckled and looked back down to the first aid kit while Aideen finished up on the toilet. I turned when the toilet flushed and waited for her to wash her hands before I began cleaning her face up. She was four inches shorter than me now that her heels were off, so it made holding her head still a lot easier.
"Ow!" Aideen suddenly hollered which earned a bark from my bedroom.
"Go back asleep you fat shite!" Aideen shouted when I swiped the antiseptic wipe over a small cut above her eye.
I hissed at her, "Leave him alone, he isn't fat. He just has a thick coat!"
Aideen laughed through her hissing. "Yeah, a thick coat of blubber."
I gave her a firm look. "Don't slag me baby when I'm cleanin' you up. Me finger might slip and jam into your eye."
Aideen gave me a wary look and closed her mouth which made me inwardly grin as I finished cleaning up her face. When I was finished, she went into my bedroom to get some of my pyjamas to wear while I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water. I turned on the kitchen light then moved to the sink and filled up a glass and quickly gulped down the water. I looked to my left and noticed the envelope Mr. Pervert gave to me earlier, still unopened on my kitchen table.
"Storm, get off the bed... or at least move over!" Aideen's voice shouted from my bedroom.
I roughly rubbed the back of my neck and sighed. I glanced at the envelope once more before I shook my head and walked over to the kitchen light switch and flipped it off. I turned and walked towards the sounds of growling and shouting coming from my bedroom and decided that dealing with Storm and Aideen was enough to deal with for one night.
Whatever was in that envelope could wait until morning.
I woke up and felt like I had the mother of all hangovers even though I hadn't touched a drop of alcohol the night before. It was a lack of sleep hangover that I would nurse throughout the day and I instantly felt like a grump because of it. I was never what someone would call a morning person, but waking up with a headache sealed the deal that I would be a grouch.
I whined when I heard shouting coming from the kitchen followed by barking that didn't help the pounding that had taken up residence in my head.
It was too early for this shite.
"Those bloody two," I grumbled as I kicked the bed covers from my body.
I sat upright and gently shook my head to try and clear it then stood up and stretched until my back cracked. I dragged my feet as I walked out of my room, down the hall and into the kitchen. I crossed my arms over my chest and yawned as my tummy rumbled from the delicious smell of a fry up being cooked. You cannot beat sausages, rashers, eggs, and pudding for breakfast on the weekend, there was nothing better. I leaned my shoulder against the kitchen wall and watched the scene before me with mild amusement.
"Listen to me you big fat baby, these rashers are mine and Keela's. You aren't allowed to have any!"
Yes, Aideen was in a battle of words - sort of - with Storm.
Storm growled at Aideen and stepped closer to her; she had a butter knife in her hand and pointed it directly at him. "Try it and I'm warnin' you, I'll be fryin' dog meat!"
I laughed which got both Aideen's and Storm's attention. Storm forgot about Aideen when he heard me, this was apparent when he jumped and barked as he came running in my direction. I audibly grunted as he collided with my legs then laughed when he stood up and placed his front paws on my shoulders and licked my face. He was a big dog, when he was stood up on his back legs he was the same height as me.
"Down, good boy." I chuckled when he dropped to all fours and continued to rub his head against my leg.
I looked up at Aideen, who was glaring at Storm. "I hate him."
I grinned. "I think he reciprocates that feelin' wholeheartedly."
Aideen grinned then turned and flipped the rashers in the frying pan and added some fat sausages.
My mouthed watered.
"What were you both fightin' for this time?" I asked after I swallowed down the saliva in my mouth.
Aideen huffed. "He keeps tryin' to jump up and grab the food when I'm not lookin'. He is a greedy, fat fucker."
I looked down at Storm and rubbed his head. "Sticks and stone baby boy, sticks and stones."
Aideen snickered and shook her head at me. I moved over to her and leaned in close to her so I could study her face. She had a bruise on her cheekbone, and her lower lip was bruised and swollen as well.
I frowned. "I hope the bitch that did this gets the runs while wearing white."
Aideen burst out laughing, and it made me grin.
"Me too." She chuckled as she continued to cook our breakfast.
I washed my hands in the sink, dried them and yawned as I moved over to the kitchen table. I rubbed my eyes and slightly shook my head at all the magazines that were spread out all over the table. Aideen had a thing about magazines; she couldn't just read one at a time, she had to have at least ten in front of her to choose from.
"You do know that you can download magazines directly onto to the Kindle I bought you right?" I murmured.
I scratched the back of my head as I looked over the magazine covers deciding on which one to read myself.
"I know, but I like holdin' them in me hands when I read," Aideen replied as she switched off the cooker and dished up our food.
I looked at her and glared at how fresh and alert she was.
"It's a little bit weird that you don't get hangovers," I said as she placed my plate in front of me.
Aideen sat down across from me and shrugged. "I'm just lucky, I guess."
I nodded and reached for the ketchup that was currently placed on top of the magazine that Aideen was looking down at. I opened the bottle and poured a decent amount of sauce onto my plate then got up and went to the bread bin.
"How is your diet goin'?" Aideen then asked with a grin before she popped a piece of pudding into her mouth.
I glared at her as I sat back down. "This is my cheat meal, I only have one a week so leave me alone."
Aideen held her hands up. "No judgment," she said around the food in her mouth.
"You're a knacker!" I snapped.
Aideen chuckled as she swallowed down her food. "Sorry."
She wasn't sorry in the slightest.
I grimaced in disgust. "You were raised by wild dogs."
Aideen grinned. "It not my fault me ma died given' birth to me brother and left me with three older brothers, a little brother, and a father that are all cavemen."
I snorted. "Don't play the me-ma-died-givin'-birth-me card, you won't get any sympathy from me. You had a brilliant upbringin', a lot better than mine and my ma is alive and well."
"Unfortunately," Aideen murmured making me exhale a large breath.
