“They’re here! My friends from the Militia are here!” Walter screamed at the top of his lung. The Militia covered and fired the remaining Marauders inside the farm, and the battle resumed. With the help of Walter’s friends at the Militia, they defeated the other Marauder fighters again.

After the combat, The Militia went inside the farm to meet Walter and his group. The Army regrouped outside the farmhouse along with Grandpa Carmichael, Walter, Victoria, Rashida, Maxine, and Joseph.

“Sorry, we are late. Captain Finley of the Militia.” Finley went straight at Captain Ellis assuming that he was Walter.

“Thank you for the help. I’m Captain Ellis of the Army.”

“I heard from my men that a guy named Walter was asking for backup.”

“I am that guy.” Walter raised his hand he smiled at his friends. Walter introduced his friends to the Militia. He knows each one of them except for Finley. With his unfamiliarity, Walter asked his friends about him. One of the members of the militia said that Finley insisted to lead the group after he heard the conversation with Walter, and he knew that there were enough supplies in the area.

Walter had a bad feeling about Finley, but he waived the idea shortly. The people of the farm decided to bury the dead bodies, again. However, as per Captain Finley’s order, he wanted to burn the Marauders remains because that’s what they deserve. No one tried to oppose Finley’s suggestion because everyone got tired of the battle. Walter remembered his conversation with his Militia friends earlier. One of them mentioned that Captain Finley was arrogant, and he wants to be always in-charge of everything.

Tony was resting in one of the rooms upstairs while Rashida and his kids monitored his condition. Joseph, on the other hand, was in the living area as Maxine aided his wounds on his face.

“Didn’t you get hurt?” Joseph asked Maxine as he remembered her heroic stunt earlier.

“Nope,” Maxine replied.

“You almost gave me a heart attack. What if something bad happened to you?” Joseph expressed his disappointment.

“Now you know how it feels,” Maxine replied plainly.

“Are you giving tit for tat?” Joseph got annoyed.

“No, Joseph. I also want to let you know that I can defend my family, too.” Maxine answered.

“Is this about Bobby’s training with the military again?” Joseph questioned, but Maxine pressed Joseph’s bruise as her response.

“Look, I was protecting…”

“Joseph, you don’t have to be that superhero. You wanted Bobby to join that training, why can’t I kill those criminals? I know your purpose, but we’re all in a battle now. Whether we like it or not, everyone is involved. I think I’m on the right age to decide my own.” Maxine stated as he cut Joseph’s sentence.

“Now I know where Bobby got his attitude,” Joseph replied trying to break the tension. He didn’t want to argue with his wife amidst the war.

“I just thought that you hated guns?” He teased Maxine.

“Not anymore after Bobby saved me twice,” Maxine answered, and they both giggled.

At the White House, Vice President headed out later that evening. The Head of the Security was surprised that she didn’t want anyone to come with her, so he immediately called Senator Colette and asked him if they can follow the Vice President. They agreed and met at the parking lot then waited for the Vice President’s car outside the White House. Senator Colette drove carefully and kept their distance.

Vice President Ariana Marie drove to North Bethesda and parked outside an empty warehouse. She entered the place while Senator Colette and the Security Head waited outside. After thirty minutes, the Vice President went out and propelled her car away. Then a stranger surveyed the area before closing the door.

“Let’s go.” Senator Colette wanted to get off the car immediately.

“Hold on. Wear this.” The Security Head handed a black cloth face mask. Senator Colette knocked on the door. When the stranger opened, the Security Head knocked him off with a punch immediately. The warehouse was a large blank space, and a girl sat in the middle with hands tied on her back. The tape covered her mouth, and she was surprised to see two men with covered faces like criminals.

Senator Colette and the Security Head tied the stranger immediately then they freed the girl. They introduced themselves then ran towards their car. They called and waited for the police before leaving the area. Senator Colette wanted to be sure that the stranger got caught. They know that the stranger is a criminal, so the Police should recognize him through his records.

“Don’t be afraid. We’ll drive you to your father.” Senator Colette said, but the girl was shaking.

“Do you remember the way?” Senator Colette asked. The girl nodded her head and instructed her home. They entered a subdivision and went directly to the girl’s house. It was a huge white, and yellow house. Senator Colette pressed the doorbell. The man went out of the door and opened the gate.

“Daddy!” The girl yelled and hugged his father.

“Who are you?” the Doctor asked Senator Colette and the Security Head.

“They saved me, Daddy.” The girl replied. Then Senator Colette introduced himself again.

They all went inside the house, and the Doctor offered them biscuits and juice.

“Thank you for saving my daughter. Why did you do it?” The Doctor asked.

“We want you to surrender yourself.” The Security Head answered

“What? I don’t understand.” The Doctor showed anxiety.

“We know what you did to that nurse.” Senator Colette replied.

“She hired many of them, and your family is in great danger.” The Security Head tried to warn the Doctor.

“You need to pay for your crime, so that innocent Nurse gets her freedom. Let the police handle your family’s safety.” Senator Colette added.

“You’re working for the Vice President. Don’t you?” The doctor was confused.

“We won’t give back your daughter if we were working for her.” The Security head got disgusted. Then they heard the little girl calling his father.

“Kill me if you want, but I’ll stay here for my family. Now if you’ll excuse me, my daughter needs a rest. Thank you again, but may I ask you to leave my house.” The Doctor replied. Disappointment filled their emotions, but they left the house quietly. The Security Head was angry, but they have no evidence to show that Doctor committed a crime and that Vice President Ariana Marie wanted to kill the President.

Later that evening, Vice President Ariana Marie was furious when she heard the news that the stranger got caught, but she’s confident that the man won’t drag her name. The Vice President has been giving a substantial amount of money to her serial killers. She walked to the balcony of her office to breathe some fresh air when Vice President Ariana saw the head of the security went out of a familiar car. The security head proceeded to the Vice President’s office immediately.

“Madam Vice President, good evening. I thought you’re out the for the rest of the evening.” The security head greeted in surprise.

“I thought, too, but a change of plan. Where have you been?” Vice President interrogated him.

“I ate my dinner.” He answered, but Vice President knew that she was lying.

“Really? Tell me, what have you been up to?” Vice President added.

“What do you mean?” The Security Head swallowed, his mouth felt dry.

“You’ve been acting weird. Also, I saw you went off an unfamiliar car.”

“It was my friend’s car.” Vice President knew that the security Head was hiding something. She just dropped the conversation and let him have his rest.
