Dedication
This book is dedicated to my readers.
You opened your hearts to my words two years ago and you will never know what that means to me.
Before I published my first book, I was going through my own storm. Storms can vary in their intensity, and some have the power to devastate you. But, sometimes you survive the devastation, and you find the beauty in the journey.
Sometimes there’s a blessing in the storm.

Scott
Decisions.
We’re free to make them, but never free from living with their consequences.
I sat on my bike outside my house, contemplating the future. The path ahead appeared clear to me, but even so, the doubts swirled and my gut churned with concern. One wrong step and the consequences could cause everything Storm had worked for over the years to come crashing down. Losing seven men today had been a kick in the gut, but the club would be stronger without them. We had a lot of rebuilding to do, but I believed our club could achieve anything it set out to do, so long as we treaded carefully.
“Scott.”
Turning, I eyed Harlow as she made her way down the front steps and walked towards me.
Jesus, can she get any more beautiful?
My gaze traced her curves. I took in the skimpy denim shorts she wore with the frayed edges that barely covered her ass, and the tiny, white tank she had stretched across her chest, giving me an eyeful of one of my favourite views in the world. Her tanned skin glowed as if she’d spent the day in the sun, but I doubted that, as her mum’s café was too busy at the moment for her to take a day off during the week.
“Hey, you,” she greeted me with a smile as she looped her arms around my neck and kissed me.
Fuck, having her arms around me, and her lips on mine, would never get old. The last few months had been hard while she’d pulled away. But since I’d managed to break through to her at Christmas, she’d been finding her way back to me.
I slid an arm around her waist and pulled her closer. As she ended the kiss, I cocked my head to the side and said, “You changed your hair.”
She flicked her hair with her hand. “Yeah, do you like it? I’m not sure if I like it brown.”
While I preferred her blonde, she could dye her hair fucking purple and I’d still love it. “It looks good, baby.”
Her eyes searched mine and she frowned. “You don’t seem your usual self this afternoon. What’s wrong?”
I moved off the bike and raked my hand through my hair. Burdening Harlow with club business was the last thing I wanted to do; she had enough other shit to deal with at the moment. “Just club shit going on. Nothing for you to worry about.”
Her eyes narrowed at me. “Bullshit, Scott. Tell me the truth.” Fuck, she hadn’t spoken to me in that way for far too long. I’d almost forgotten how much I liked it.
I raised my brows. “Been awhile since I’ve seen this side of you, sweetheart. You wanna keep that up and I’ll show you what I like to do with dirty mouths.” My cock was so damn hard for her. From the minute I woke up to the goddamn minute I slept at night, I fucking wanted her. Our sex life hadn’t fully recovered since Christmas – she still held something back from me, and as much as I’d tried to figure out how to fix it, I’d come up empty.
Her breathing stilled and she bit her lip before it spread into a sexy smile. She pressed her body against mine and placed her hands on my chest, and fuck if that didn’t shoot a whole new level of need straight to my dick. “You should show me.” Her voice was all breathy and her eyes sparkled with desire. “But not until you tell me what’s going on.”
Jesus.
My woman stood in front of me, demanding to know stuff she hadn’t been interested in for too long, and as much as I wanted to unload and have her involved in my life again, I needed to fuck her. Harlow was more turned on than I’d seen her in a long fucking time - no way was I passing up this opportunity.
Decisions.
It all came back to priorities.
I slid my arm around her so I could take hold of her ass. Bending my face to hers, I growled, “How about you get your sexy ass upstairs and I’ll show you how much trouble a dirty mouth can get you in. And then if you’re not completely worn out, we’ll talk.”
Her eyes didn’t leave mine, and she nodded her agreement. She didn’t say anything, but no words were needed.
I let her go and jerked my chin towards the stairs. “I want you in the shower, baby. Naked.”
She didn’t hesitate and a moment later, I tracked her ass as she made her way upstairs. Fuck, a man could spend hours watching that ass.
I followed her inside but made a stop in the kitchen on the way to the shower so I could fill the fridge with the beer I’d brought home. The sight that greeted me in the kitchen caused my steps to falter. “Harlow!” I called out. “Kitchen, now.”
Fuck the shower; I wanted her on the fucking kitchen counter.
A minute later she appeared in the kitchen.
Naked.
Frowning at me, she asked, “What’s wrong?”
My eyes dropped to her chest before moving back up to hold her gaze. “Nothing’s wrong. In fact, I’d say something is very right.” I gestured at the counter where she had yet to clean her mess up from baking. The minute I’d eyed the cream cheese wrapper, the white chocolate packet and the red food colouring, I knew what she’d been making. “Been a long time since you’ve made red velvet cake, baby.”
She smiled and took a step closer to me. “Been a long time since I’ve seen your eyes crinkle like that,” she murmured.
Fuck, those words were the best ones I’d heard all day.
I closed the distance between us. “Red velvet cake means more than just baking.”
“What do you mean?” Her forehead pulled together as she thought about that. I was surprised she didn’t know.
“There are two reasons you bake red velvet – either you’ve had a good day or I’ve done something to make you happy. Seems as though I’ve done nothing, I’m guessing you’ve had a good day, and that makes me fuckin’ happy because, like I said, it’s been too long since you’ve baked red velvet cake.”
She placed one of her hands on my chest. “You make me happier than you realise, Scott. I’m sorry I don’t show you that enough.”
