34. The Mission of Isho
1. This name Isho, there is a grace surrounding it for it is Isho who gives repentance to the
penitent. He stands in our midst, he is not far from us, my brothers, even as he said in his
teaching: “I am as close to you as the raiment of your body.” Isho, your burden is light for him
who can carry it; you have made the Cross a Bema for yourself and have given law thereon;
you have made the Cross a Ship for yourself and have sailed upon it. Many are the marvels of
your nativity, the wonders of your Cross; yet when I say “your nativity” – who created you, my
Lord Isho eternally, Life from Life?
2. They came to the Son of God, he who is in the All, in whom the All exists. For he was led
from world to world, from age to age; he passed by the Sources by taking on their likeness, he
mocked the Authorities by imitating them, the Powers and Dominions he darkened all of
them! These things he did on high, floating in the heavens and then he came down to the
substance of the flesh, the vesture of humanity. God became Man; he went about in all the
land, he took a man’s likeness, the raiment of a slave. He came for all the sheep of His flock,
because he knew there was no other to rescue them. He had come without a body, yet his
Apostles declared of him that He took the form of a boy, an aspect like us men; he came down
and manifested in the world in the religious sect of the Essene Jews, and taught among all
Jews.
3. Isho dug a river in the world, he dug a river, even he of the sweet Name; he dug it with the
spade of Truth, dredged it with the bucket of Wisdom. The stones he dredged from it are like
pellets of incense, all the waters that are in it are roots of Light. He also freed the
inconceivable Light in the whole Building, vitalized, saved and gave the victory to those who
are his own, while he slew, chained and annihilated those who are alien to him. So then at the
very time when he had cut down the last of the evil Trees with his Axe, he uprooted them and
burned them and their body with his Fire, so that thenceforth they should not grow again or
produce fruit that is dangerous to consume. Afterwards he on this part planted his good
plants, the Tree of Life that will make good fruits.
4. He gave the Call and the Hearing to the Elements, He formed Isho the child; he chose his
disciples, the beginning of his sheepfold; he traversed Judea looking for stones (redeemable
souls); daily he went to the seashores seeking after pearls. He planted his shoots in the field
of his Elect, he sowed the seed in the soil of those who knew him. The sound of his shout went
out to the whole inhabited world, his sheepfold filled corners of the universe. The Kings who
heard laid down their crowns, the first-born of the land flung away from their garlands, for his
sake the rich ones of the earth became poor.
5. Satan entered into Judas the Iscariot, one among the twelve of Isho; he betrayed him before
the ruling council with his kiss, he handed him over into the power of the religious council and
the band of soldiers. Then they seized the Son of God, judged him lawlessly in an assembly
and unrighteously condemned him, although he had no sin within him. They raised him upon
the wood of the Cross, they crucified him on the Cross together with robbers; they took him
down from the Cross and laid him in the tomb; but after three days he rose from the dead. He
came to his disciples and appeared to them, he clothed them with power and breathed his
Spirit of holiness into them, he sent them out into all the world to teach the Greatness, while
he was raised up to the Height.
6. The dozen of Apostles became a garland to this Amen; the Amen answered them, he explained to them his wonders:
“Amen I was seized!; Amen I was not seized!
Amen I was judged; Amen I was not judged!
Amen I was crucified; Amen I was not crucified!
Amen I was pierced; Amen I was not pierced!
Amen I suffered: Amen again I did not suffer!
Amen, I am in my Father; Amen again my Father is in Me!
But you wish the fulfilment of my Amen:
I mocked the world; they could not mock at me!
Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen again, the four-faced God;
Glory and Honour to the Amen, the Father of the Greatness!
Blessing and holiness to Isho, the Son of the Amen!
Victory to the Rukha d’Kudsha who has taught us to this Amen and his holy Elect!”
7. At the time when Isho appeared in the land of the West (west of Persia),then he chose out
an Assembly and proclaimed his Hope and his Revelation to his disciples. He then he went up
and rested in the Land of Light. A record was made concerning his life and his teachings and
his miracles.
