But right now he put aside his official duties to race over to the District. A couple of young heroes were to be honored in a church service, and that pleased him greatly. It also gave him immeasurable faith in the country’s future when he thought of what those young women had done in New Jersey. “Can America Bounce Back?” a national news program had asked last week. How could it not? Holmes thought, with young people like Tanesa Weir and Emma Elkins coming of age.

Thomas Waite was born in Ipswich, Massachusetts. His debut novel, Terminal Value, was critically praised and reached #1 in Contemporary Fiction, #1 in Contemporary Books, #1 Paid in the Kindle Store, and #1 in Kindle Store Suspense at Amazon. Lethal Code is his first in a series of cyberthrillers.

Waite is the board director of, and an adviser to, technology companies in online security, media, data analytics, cloud computing, mobile, social intelligence, and information technology businesses. His nonfiction work has been published in a number of publications, including the New York Times and Harvard Business Review.

Waite received his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin — Madison and was selected by the English Department to participate in an international study program at the University of Oxford. He now lives in Boston.
