I touch the ice cube to her warm back at the base of her neck. She moans and flinches. I remove the ice and use my tongue to warm her skin. She’s squirming beneath me, moaning louder, but still meeting me with vigor. Once she calms a bit, I bring the cube back and inch it down the center of her spine, following the cold trail with the warmth of my tongue. I hope this is turning her on as much it is me.
“Cooper!” She calls out as I bring the melting cube around her front and circle it against her clit.
She jerks from the sensation, pushing back further, harder into me. I hold her still for a moment as the drops of cold run down her, and drip onto me. She’s wetter now for sure. There’s less friction as I thrust harder inside her, and I just want to get this condom off and feel everything inside her, around her, everything that is her.
I bring the now smaller cube again to her back. I start at the base of her neck and slowly slide it down her spine. She quivers beneath me. I can’t hold on much longer. I continue to trail down the small of her back to the crack of her ass. I hold the cube there, letting it drip. I start to head down, between her cheeks with the ice.
She clenches her ass and her entire body stiffens.
“You okay?” I whisper.
“Yes.” It’s not a word, but a breathless moan.
Holding the dripping ice at her rear opening, I lean forward and kiss her neck.
"Please!" She yells out. Happy to oblige, knowing she’s right where I want her, I pull back and press the ice cube inside her.
“Cooper!” She yells out.
I feel the pressure building inside me. I can't believe she hasn’t said no to anything, hasn’t told me to go fuck off. I hold her tight as a warm trickle drips out of her, and I imagine it’s my cum spilling out of her. I'm not sure I can get her there before I cum.
"Yes.” She screams spurring me on. “Yes. YES!"
We arrive together, and when I'm done I drop on the bed next to her. With her hands on either side of my face, she pulls me into a deep, greedy kiss. I think it's a thank you. I don't move until she's done, but once she pulls away I practically lunge for the phone. I know I'm being a shit, but I need to make sure he gets the message loud and clear.
"What are you doing?" She asks. But before she reaches for the phone, I'm typing away.
Sorry, Matt. Selene can't make it to your nephew’s game. She's spending the weekend with her boyfriend. BTW that would be me.
"Just sending a message," I answer as I hit send and hand it over.
"My boyfriend?" She asks. "Is that really what you want?"
I don't bring up the fact that she already told me she doesn't believe in monogamy. That's a fact that can work in both of our favors and doesn't need to be said. At least not yet.
"It's what I want. I get that you travel a lot and you don't have a lot of time to see me. But when you're home I want you with me. You think you can handle that?"
Selene nods, gives me a smile. "Yes, Cooper. Besides I have the feeling if I say no you're going to stalk me. And I'd really hate to be the reason a pretty boy like you gets sent to jail. I don't think you'd make a good wife." Her smile lights up the room. I don't think I'll ever get tired of how my pulse races when I see it.
"What makes you think I'd be the wife?"
She laughs, as if I just told a joke. Eventually I join in her amusement. Coming home with Selene is a million times better than coming home with the twins. I kiss her head, drawing her scent in once again. I'm in shock that I've taken it this far. I haven't had a "girlfriend" since high school. Not since Luna did everything she could to turn my heart into ice and then smash it into tiny, sharp shards with an ice pick. At least this time, I understand the game, and I know better than to hand Selene my heart. I just wish my body didn't crave hers so damn much.
Selene's hand reaches across my midsection as she curls up next to me and rests her head on my chest. I close my eyes, and hope sleep sweeps away all conscious thought before the fact that I have a girlfriend sinks in and suffocates me.
Chapter 9
"Cooper." I feel a finger nail graze over and around the skin on my shoulder. "Wake up, handsome."
"Mmm." I moan with a smile. "Go back to sleep, Selene." I answer rolling over and reaching out for her.
"Selene?" the voice shrieks. "Who the fuck is Selene?"
That voice! How did she get here? My throat constricts as I shoot up with my heart pounding to a punishing beat. The angst in her tone cuts through my chest. How did I not recognize her straight away?
"It was a mistake. That's all, just a mistake," I explain opening my eyes, searching for her face so I can apologize. I'm ready and willing to do whatever I have to, to make this right, but no one is there. I'm alone in bed. I flip the covers over, looking frantically for some sign of her, but there's nothing under them.
I jump out of bed and spin around taking in everything in the room, searching for some sign of her. But there's nothing, not even a hint of the vanilla scent that lingers in the air wherever she goes. I look under the bed, and in the closet. Everything is as it should be. I'm all fucking alone in the room. How could I fuck up like this?
Cries burst through the silence. Loud. Ugly sobs that make me want to cover my ears with my hands. But where the fuck is she? My muscles are trembling, like plucked guitar strings. And my emotions are reverberating through my body. My stomach sinks. I have to fix this before she . . . No. NO! I squeeze my eyes shut. I won't even think it. This is my chance to wake from my nightmare and make things right.
"Luna. Luna!" I call out pulling myself together. She's crying harder. Louder. "Where are you?"
She doesn't answer. The walls of the room are gone. I'm no longer in my bedroom. Instead I'm in a large room encased by a never ending expanse of doors. I don't know where they lead to. But Luna is on the other side of one of them. How many are there? Ten? One hundred?
"You broke me, Cooper." The voice, her voice, blasts over speakers built into the walls behind me. "You broke my heart." The sound of her voice makes me want to drop to my knees and cry.
"Come on, Luna. Stop fucking around and come out here so we could talk."
"You lied. You said I'm the only girl you could ever love. And now you're with Selene."
"And you fucking cheated on me. So get your ass out here and face me."
"I can't, Cooper." She says something more, but I can't make her words out through the sobs. "I can't ever face you again. Not now that I know about her. I need to get rid of her."
