Hello dear friends! And this is a new issue of the newspaper life Day! And in this issue you will see some illustrations, a small excerpt from the work, as well as a new heading history. All sorts of historical facts and so on will be written in it.

History of Russia

Beginning

With this issue, we begin this rather glorious and long historical journey. Today I will tell you a little about the birth of Russia and how it all began. Let's talk about the first Russian prince Slavic tribes. Let's get started!

Slavic tribes

The first who inhabited Russian history (according to legends) these were Slavic tribes. They were divided into northern, eastern and western groups. We will touch on the Eastern Slavs, since most of Russia is located on their former territory. I will name some of the tribes of the Eastern Slavs, Slovene, Krivichi, Chudi, Meri, Vesu.

Rurik

There was the city of Novgorod. The Novgorodians decided to call the prince to reign. They needed a warrior! And the first Russian prince is Rurik.(1 of the Rurik dynasty)

Origin: It is not known exactly who he was, but historians believe that Rurik was a Varangian. In 862, Rurik was called by the Novgorodians and asked to reign. Rurik agreed and from that moment the great Rurik dynasty began. And he sent Askold and Dir to reign on the Kiev land. According to the tale of bygone years, it was said that Rurik had only one son, Igor. Rurik died in 879. Since Igor was small, Oleg came to reign. Oleg was a distant relative of Rurik and the Novgorodians decided to leave him for the reign.

How I wrote my first poems

There probably isn't even anything to say, but I'll try to tell you this story somehow. One autumn day I decided to try my hand at writing poetry. By the way, it was already the end of autumn, the beginning of winter. I've been wanting to write my first poems for a long time, so the time has come. Inspiration came to me and I began to record. I wrote my first poems. By the way, I don't think they are perfect and I will try to improve the skill with each inspiration.

Here is a short story about how I wrote my first poems.

Fragment

So our section excerpt continues, in it you will learn parts of my future books before their release. And today we have an excerpt from the book Knights of Darkness killed by order of the two.

When I was chasing you with the Imperials, they betrayed me. They promised to pay me and never touch my ship. But as soon as you started taking off, they put me to sleep. The field I ended up here. They put us to sleep too. So everyone stop talking! Sleep! So k215 stay at the entrance to the prison compartment. Roger that, sir! In the meantime, I'm going to bed. Do they give them codes? Where are their names?

Pancake day

Many different holidays are celebrated in February. Traditionally, every year in our country a wonderful holiday Maslenitsa is celebrated. Today our correspondent Petrov Svyatoslav will tell you about this holiday.

Maslenitsa is an East Slavic holiday dedicated to saying goodbye to winter. The first mention of Maslenitsa dates back to the sixteenth century. Almost nothing has changed since then. Everything goes according to the customs. The dates of the holiday change all the time, it depends on Easter. This year Maslenitsa is celebrated from February 28 to March 6. Each day of the week has its own sacred meaning, which we will discuss below.

Monday-Meeting

Families started visiting each other. People started to prepare pancakes for the whole week. The families arranged for follow-up visits.

Tuesday – games

On this day, the festivities began. people were calling passers-by with such a shout – "We have snow mountains ready and pancakes baked – we ask you to please!"

Wednesday is a treat

On this day, families sat down at the table and ate cooked pancakes. The pancake symbolizes the sun. The Slavs revered the sun as a separate god. It is believed that if you eat a pancake on Shrovetide, then you will gain strength and warmth.

Thursday – go wild

On this day, the broad Maslenitsa began. Full-fledged festivities began: fist fights, horse riding and other fun were arranged.

Friday – Mother-in-law's evenings

On this day, the mother-in-law came to the son-in-law's house. Daughter-in-law baked pancakes. Everyone was sitting at the table. The son-in-law had to show his affection for his mother-in-law.

Saturday – sister-in-law gatherings

On this day, the daughters-in-law invited their sisters-in-law and other relatives of her husband. Sisters-in-law were the groom's sisters. If the sister-in-law was not married, then the daughter-in-law invited her unmarried friends, if her husband's sisters were already married, then the daughter-in-law called her married relatives. The bride had to give her sisters-in-law some gifts.

Sunday – send-off

On this day, people saw off Shrovetide. Before the beginning of Lent, people asked each other for forgiveness for everything, commemorated the dead. On Sunday, it is customary to burn an effigy. it is made of straw, wood and other flammable materials. Burning meant saying goodbye to winter, meeting spring and annual renewal. People throw old things into this bonfire in order to attract something new and good into life and get rid of the worst from the past. Gorenje's burning power depended on how quickly spring would come this year. It is customary to fertilize the fields with ashes after sowing, so that the harvest in the new year will be good. When the bonfire was lit, people stood in a round dance and began to sing various songs. Eg:

"Ah, how we waited for Maslenitsa,

They waited, they waited, they waited.

Cheese gorushki laid,

Laid, luli, laid.

The honey was watered with oil.

Oh, you Carnival, be polite,

Be katliva, lyuli, be katliva…

THE END

So you have learned a little new about this wonderful holiday – Maslenitsa.
