Tua screamed and grabbed his shoulder. Aquilla dropped to her knees and apologized profusely.
“Tua, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know it was you.”
There was no way he could answer, he was in too much pain. Salem ran to get their beach buggy, and then Keiki and him helped Tua to his feet and into the buggy. All Aquilla could do was watch, she felt horrible.
Talin laughed, “Jesus girl.”
“It’s not funny, Talin. Didn’t you hear that? His arm is no doubt broken.”
Julius listened to his father talk about the transport. He was nervous, Julius could tell, but the older he got, the more it did nerve him. It was probably nothing, and he was fretting over a nonentity. Julius had other things that he wanted to discuss with him. He couldn’t seem to keep his mind focused on business.
“Are you even listening to me boy?” Romano scolded, as Julius rolled his shoestring between his fingers.
He sat up. “Not really. There’s something that I would like to talk to you about,” he alleged. He had to get it out, it was the best way.
“What?” Romano asked concerned.
“I think we need to leave here. We’ve been here four years now, it’s time for us to move on.”
“Why, did you get a tip?” he asked, worried that someone was coming for them.
“No, Father, it’s nothing like that.”
“Stop beating around the bush, Julius. You know I hate that.”
“I want to leave Jamelia Lei because I want to be with_____.” Fuck, he almost did it. He almost had it out.
“Come in,” Romano called, to the knock on the door.
Aquilla was right behind Valdez.
“I swear I didn’t mean to do it, Father,” she nervously spat out, shoving her way around Valdez.
Romano stood. “What did you do, Quill?” he asked, sternly.
“She fucking broke Tua Shumah’s arm. You should have heard it. I wasn’t even close and I heard it,” Valdez simpered. He thought it was funny, Aquilla turned and shot him a dirty look.
“You broke his arm?” Julius asked, standing. Good that mother fucker will learn to keep his hands off my girl.
“I didn’t mean to. I didn’t know it was him. He sneaked up behind me,” she implored. She felt so bad.
“Don’t worry about it,” Romano consoled, walking towards her. He held her arms and looked down at her. “I’ll call his father and take care of the damages.” He hugged her and kissed her blonde locks. “You know that I love you and you will always be my little princess, don’t you?”
Aquilla looked confused and gave Julius a tangled glance. “Yes,” she replied.
“Good, now get out of here. We have work to do. Valdez pull up Deion Perl,” he spoke, dismissing her and getting back to business.
Aquilla turned back to Julius, still with that dazed, confused look.
Once again, he longed to go to her, but because of business yet again, he wouldn’t be able to. He didn’t even get to eat with her. One of the servants catered their dinner into the office. The bump that his father had run into while he was away was more than a bump now. The ship transporting the goods had been seized. Drug enforcement officials stopped the North Korean vessel on its way through the Panama Canal. He fucking told him not to send it through, but he wouldn’t listen. Romano thought enough time had passed. It was bad. It was very bad. They were doing everything they could to find out what went wrong, what was said, and whose names were brought up. Now might be the perfect time to plan that move, after all.
Romano called in more security and canceled the next chattel arrival. They needed to be able to get out of there if need be. Finding three or four beautiful women tucked away in the north wing probably wouldn’t go over well with authorities. So far, only the Korean captain was being held. No one else had been brought in. If this guy could keep his mouth shut, they might be okay.
It was late, almost eleven at night. Julius was finished, he couldn’t go anymore, and there was really nothing left to do but sit and wait. All he wanted to do was go and talk to Aquilla. He was sure she was already asleep, which meant another day and night had passed without being with his precious Aquilla.
Julius showered in his room and lay across his bed with his hands overhead. He jumped up and pulled on a pair of jeans, omitting the underwear.
Quietly opening the door to her room, he snuck in. Her window was open and the white shear blew with the breeze. She looked so peaceful, sleeping with her cheek on her hand. He sat on the edge of the bed and brushed her hair from her face.
The fresh clean scent she smelled, was enough to let her know he was there. Without even opening her eyes she knew he was next to her. Aquilla opened her eyes, looked up, and smiled.
“Hey,” she said, moving her hand to the top of his leg. He took her hand and kissed her knuckles.
“Hey,” he smiled back. God, he fucking loved her.
“Did you really break Tua’s arm?”
“Yes, and it’s not funny. He was in so much pain. I didn’t mean to. It’s kind of your fault.”
“My fault?” he asked, amused.
“Yes, you drilled that move into me so many times, it was just instinct. Kind of like a dog, instinctively knows how to fetch a stick.”
He smiled at her comparison. “I like you that you are able to defend yourself.”
“I didn’t need to defend myself from Tua. Will you take me to see him tomorrow?”
“No, Father isn’t going to let us leave the house for a few days.”
“Again? Now what?” she asked the absurd question. Of course something was going on. Something was always going on. That’s why he was home two days early.
“It’s nothing, don’t worry about it. Do you like him, Quill?” he asked, changing the subject. She knew he wouldn’t talk about it before she asked.
“Tua?”
“Yes”
He was so serious, searching her face for the answer. She snorted.
“No, not like I like you,” She said, easing the anxiety on his face.
He kissed her. She didn’t care what people thought of them. There was no way any other man would ever make her feel faint the way that he did. She was in love with him, and she wanted him.
Julius managed to make slow passionate love to her without “training her” once, well maybe once. He did request that she spread her ass cheeks so that he could insert his finger while he devoured her pussy with his mouth. Other than that, he did well. He was proud of himself.
Chapter 6
Aquilla lay in his arms with her fingers entwined with his, her bare legs through his, and her head in his arms. This was right. This was so perfect. She couldn’t imagine feeling that way in anyone else’s arms. She wanted to belong to Julius Chavez. Actually, she already did belong to him, and he belonged to her. She had always belonged to him. She knew it, he knew it, and it was impossible to fight it any longer. The only thing that changed was that she just wasn’t willing to share him with the trainees anymore.
She lay naked, wrapped in his arms as he ran his fingers up and down her arm. She wanted him to stop doing that. It tickled and made her itch. Afraid that he would think she didn’t want him to touch her she refrained from telling him to stop. Instead, she twisted her body a little to get him to stop. He moved it and did the same thing to her lower back. She didn’t like that either.
