She hoped that Ted would be up to the task. She had previously labeled him as slave material. He would need a lot of work and coaching. She would have to talk this over with Charles. Maybe Gretchen could help in some way.

She let the girls sleep and went downstairs to Alana's kitchen. She rummaged around and was eventually able to find what she needed to make a cup of tea. As she sat at the kitchen table, she started to formulate a plan.

Ted would be coming home this evening. He may already be there, for all she knew. Then she paused and wondered what had gone through his mind when he had been unable to reach his wife for three evenings. And she wondered how Meredith had explained away her unavailability.

She would talk privately with Ted on Saturday. That seemed easy enough. The girls seemed to be inseparable at this point. If they were planning on working on Alana's house, that would provide the opportunity. If not, she would create the opportunity by sending them shopping.

Chapter 13: Forming a Partnership

"I don't understand," a confused Ted responded. And he truly looked confused with his brow furrowed and his eyes narrowed. Grace hoped she was not making a mistake. Grace had been talking with Ted for about fifteen minutes and they were just getting to the slavery.

"It's quite simple, really," Grace explained. "I'm sure that you know about slavery. It's when people own other people. I'm giving you the opportunity to be a co-owner with me of three beautiful women."

"Sounds great," he said. "But Meredith would kill me."

"Maybe not," said Grace. "She seems to have an open mind."

"Would she be an owner too?"

"Definitely not," Grace said, emphatically. "The girls would just belong to you and me." Grace knew that she was making headway when she glanced down at Ted's lap. There was a noticeable tent forming in the front of his shorts. Ted obviously liked the idea of owning and controlling three girls.

"You will need some training, though," Grace continued. "You are new to this. I will arrange for you to receive the proper education."

"Why me?" asked Ted.

"That's a fair question," answered Grace. "To begin with, three is too many for me. I'm not willing to sell any of them, but I'm not able to handle them alone. Second, you seem like someone who enjoys women and who can handle them appropriately, if properly trained. And you're a neighbor, so it would be convenient."

Ted thought for a moment trying to think about why this offer seemed too good to be true. "They aren't a bunch of ugly scags, are they?"

"Certainly not," replied Grace, indignantly. "I only take the most desirable slaves. And I will tell you confidentially that I have already been offered ten million dollars for the three of them."

Ted whistled. "Wow! Why didn't you sell them?"

"Because they are too precious to me."

"What do I do with slaves?" asked Ted.

"Whatever you want," replied Grace. "That's the beauty of it. They cannot say no. Oh, they might complain or whine at times, but they are your property. You make the decisions. If you want them firmer, you exercise them. If you want to display them, you display them. If you want them always naked for you, they will always be naked. You can decorate their bodies with piercings, tattoos or brands. Personally, I don't like tattoos, but I have been toying with the idea of nipple rings for these three. And I intend to brand them and have them registered soon."

"Registered?" asked Ted.

"I'll get to that in a moment, but let me finish answering your first question. You can work them in the yard or have them clean your house and cook your meals."

"Meredith would like that," commented Ted.

Grace ignored the interruption and continued. "They can be used for massages or they can bathe and dress you. If you need a footstool for watching television, use your slave. And of course there is always sex. You are free to use a slave in any form of sex."

"Wow!" exclaimed Ted. "Where do I sign up?"

"As far as registration is concerned, it is similar to registering your car, although the government is not involved for obvious reasons. This is not necessary but it is helpful in certain situations. A registration is required in order to sell a slave."

This caused Ted's eyes to open wide but did nothing to abate the huge erection poking at the front of his shorts.

"Registering also allows you to create title of ownership. Kind of like a deed. Remember, they are property, so it's helpful to have a title. And sometimes, slaves are stolen. Registration is helpful in tracking the slaves down and restoring them to their proper owners. That's the reason I'm planning on having these three registered. I already know there's a huge demand for them and it wouldn't surprise me if someone is already making plans to steal them. I just want to protect my property rights."

"Wow!" repeated Ted. "Part of me says sign me up yesterday. But another part says I need to talk this over with Meredith."

"Then lets talk it over with Meredith. She's over at Alana's right now helping with the remodeling. Should we go over there or have her come over here?"

"We?" asked a puzzled and clueless Ted. "Do you really think it's wise for both of us to present this to her?"

"I think that's best," replied Grace. "As I said, she seems pretty open-minded to me. And she may have some questions that you aren't prepared to answer. So, I'll be there."

"Okay, let's do it. But we should do it here so Alana doesn't overhear anything."

Grace got up and walked to the phone, dialing Alana's number. Luckily, Meredith answered. "I'm at your house, dear," Grace informed her. "Come over now, if you please."

"Yes, Mistress," was the reply and the phone line went dead.

It took about twenty minutes for Meredith to show up at her house. "Sorry," she apologized. "I took a quick shower so I didn't track paint everywhere and didn't get any on my clothes." Ted never even thought to ask what Meredith had been wearing during her painting if she wasn't wearing her own clothes.

Meredith sat down next to Ted and smiled at Grace. "What's up?"

"Well," started Grace, "I have made Ted a proposition. And he correctly wanted to get your input first."

"Oh?" responded Meredith. Here it comes, she thought. Ted's going to be a slave too.

"Yes. And he seems interested, but wanted to see how you felt about it. I have this little problem and I asked your husband if he would be kind enough to help me with it. You see, I own three slaves."

"Three!!!" asked an astonished Meredith. Ted was convinced that Meredith was stunned at Grace declaring that she owned slaves and was reassured that he had correctly predicted to Grace that this would all be quite shocking to his wife. In reality, Meredith was shocked at the number and not the fact that Grace owned slaves. She only knew about herself being Grace's slaves and she wondered where Grace kept the other two hidden. Maybe she was including Ted in the count already, but that still left one unaccounted for.

"Yes, dear," nodded Grace. "I own three slaves. And it's a bit much for one person to handle, as I'm sure you can understand. So I have asked Ted if he would mind being co-owner with me for the slaves."

Meredith glanced quickly at Ted and, seeing the front of his shorts being pushed outward, knew that her husband found the proposition attractive. But her own husband owning her? How would that work?

"Wow!" was all that Meredith could manage.
