Lucas quietly got out of the car, but Lexi charged after him. She didn’t wait for Aidan to hand her down as she had before. She stomped off, every muscle in her body tense and ready for a fight. Before he could get out of the cab, Lexi had slammed into the house.

Lucas stood at the door, his face a solemn mask. “She won’t go down easy. She’s been through a lot. You have to know that if I didn’t think you were good for her, I wouldn’t be here.”

Aidan’s stomach did a weird flip-flop. “I don’t want you to be here just for her. God, Lucas, I know you don’t believe me, but I’ll prove it to you. I love you. I’m in this for life now. I won’t ever leave.”

A secret smile crinkled his perfect face. “Next time you leave, I’ll hunt you down, Sir. I might allow you to top me, but never think I’m not your equal.”

That was the farthest thing from Aidan’s mind. “Oh, Lucas, I know how good you are. And I’ve never suspected I was your better. I left because I couldn’t handle how the world would view me, but there was another reason I left. I was jealous of you.”

Lucas’s brow furrowed. “What? That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard. I was the guy the tabloids proclaimed was killing his own father with embarrassment.”

Aidan had seen the articles that described Lucas Cameron’s misspent youth. Lucas had pulled a lot of stunts to get his politician father’s attention. It had landed him on the cover of several tabloids. It had always been hard for Aidan to reconcile that sad boy with the put-together man he’d met. “I didn’t know you then. All I knew was that you had it together. You knew what you wanted and how to get it.”

Lucas snorted. “I wanted Lexi.”

“Yes, and you manipulated both of us into a position where you got what you wanted. What you didn’t count on was the fact that I had issues with my father and brother.”

Lucas’s eyes shuttered. “I don’t like to think of it as manipulation.”

“But you did work to get what you wanted. You wanted Lexi, and you got her.”

“No, I wanted the three of us. Even when you walked out, I truly expected you to come back. I thought you would go blow off some steam, maybe write some angry songs where you brutally murder me, but I thought you would be back.”

Aidan flexed his ruined hand. He couldn’t get it to open all the way, and the muscles ached from even the small movement he’d performed. “Showed you, didn’t I? What you don’t know is that I had a big career setback the day after I left. I had a shot at a recording deal that fell through. My dad heard and gave me a lecture on how I should be doing ‘man’s work.’ I enlisted the next day.”

Lucas’s hand came out, cupping Aidan’s shoulder. “We all do stupid things. You paid for yours. I paid for mine. We need to move on.”

He was right. Aidan needed to move this forward. “I intend to walk into that house and get her underneath me.”

Aidan was done waiting. If he let her put distance between them again, she would use it to rebuild her walls, and he had no intention of allowing that to happen. He couldn’t keep her here forever. Once the mystery of who had tried to take her out was solved, she would be back in Dallas.

Lucas’s eyes slid away. “I understand. I’ll find your brother and see if I can find something to do.”

Aidan reached out to him. “No. I want you with me, Lucas. Hold her while I fuck her. Let her know how this is going to be. You and me, a united front against all of her fears. You and me. Partners in her need, her pleasure.”

That mischievous smile Aidan loved lit Lucas’s face. “She does enjoy being held down, Sir.”

Lucas joined him as he walked through the door. Lexi was standing there, as though she’d been trying to listen, but she turned quickly when she saw them enter. Her heart-shaped ass swayed as she walked down the hall.

“Lexi!” Aidan barked.

She stopped, but didn’t turn around.

“We’re in private. I didn’t give you leave to walk away.”

That hot ass of hers wiggled as she started up again. The only gesture she gave that let him know she’d heard him at all was to shove her happy middle finger in the air.

Aidan felt his blood start to boil.

“She wants it bad, Sir.” Lucas’s eyes had gone dark and predatory. He might be a switch, but when the Dom came out, Lucas was a force to be reckoned with. Aidan wondered if Lucas knew how hard it got him when Lucas decided to top their girl with ferocity.

“Then we should give it to her.” Aidan stalked down the hall after her, well aware of how his blood was pounding in anticipation.

He’d meant to make the first time back with Lexi gentle and loving, but that was gone now. It wouldn’t be vanilla. He’d meant everything he’d said to her mother. He would marry her and Lucas. Now it was time to let Lexi know he was damn serious.

Lucas moved ahead, clearing the way. He tossed open the door immediately after Lexi had slammed it, the sound a volley in the little war she’d started. There would be a conqueror and a conquest. It was just a battle. Aidan knew Lexi had already won the war. He was her slave. He’d do anything for her, except let her go.

“Alexis!” Aidan shouted her name.

She turned finally, her face closed and shut off. She wore a T-shirt and jeans that hugged her every curve. “What do you want, Aidan? You can tell my family whatever you like, but I don’t have to believe you. I’ll do what you tell me to because that’s the only way I can get my access to The Club back, but as soon as Leo and Julian clear me, I won’t see you again. Lucas and I will find another Dom.”

“Will we?” Lucas asked. “You’re assuming a lot.”

Aidan hated the way her shoulders slumped, and tears filled her eyes.

“Really?” Lexi asked. “You said this was only temporary. You’re going to choose him over me after everything we’ve been through?”

Lucas shook his head. “No, I’ll always choose you, Lexi. I’m yours. If you really decide you can’t forgive him, I’ll go with you, but you should know that I want to try. I want you to give this an honest shot.”

“I told you I’m staying.” Lexi couldn’t quite meet anyone’s eyes. She stared at the floor.

Aidan took over. “That’s not the same thing as trying, but you can give it a shot, angel. I know you. I know you won’t be able to hold back.”

“Maybe I’ve changed.”

Aidan wouldn’t, couldn’t believe that. “Lexi Moore doesn’t change. Now get your clothes off and get on your knees. I want what you promised me in that barn.”

She took a quick step back. “That was a mistake.”

“No. That was truth. Everything else is you pretending.”

Lucas moved behind her. His hands slid under her shirt. “Play with us, Lexi. Your Masters want to play with their pretty slave. Do you know how much we adore you?”

Aidan had to hand it to Lucas. He knew just how to handle Lexi. He was the smooth operator to Aidan’s alpha male. Lexi’s hands drifted above her head, and Lucas slipped the shirt off.

“Show the Master your breasts, baby.” Lucas’s voice was a seductive tease. “Take off that bra and show him what you have to offer. Those breasts belong to us. We want to see them.”

Lexi’s fingers found the clasp of her bra. She paused, her eyes coming up. “It’s still just sex, Aidan.”

He wasn’t going to win this one. He might not be able to convince that brain of hers, but he could work on her body. “I’ll take what I can get, Lexi. But you should know I’m making love to you. Now Lucas is right. Those breasts belong to us. Show me.”

She released the clasp on her bra and let it open. Lexi’s breasts were round and perfect, tipped with pink, tight nipples. She loved to have them sucked on. When they had lived together, Aidan had spent long periods of time just playing with her breasts.
