About the Author

Gary R. Habermas received his B.R.E. from William Tyndale College, M.A. from the University of Detroit, D.D. from Emmanuel College, Oxford, England, and Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He has ministered in three churches, the last being the Chicago Avenue United Brethren Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He taught Apologetics and Philosophy at Big Sky Bible College and served as Associate Professor of Apologetics and Philosophy of Religion at William Tyndale College. From 1981 to the present he is Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Theology (Chairman since 1988) at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Gary is also the Director of the M.A. program in Apologetics.

Gary, his wife, Eileen, and their children live in Lynchburg, Virginia. Gary has been a member of the Virginia Philosophical Association, the Conference on Faith and History, the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Evangelical Philosophical Society as national President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer. His hobbies include reading, writing, sports in general (and ice hockey in particular), and chess.
