Everyone else in the room was silent, waiting for Jay's response.
After a moment's consideration, he took a long, deep breath. Then, placing his lips at his wife's ear he whispered, "It feels wonderful." Then he kissed her long and slow, their tongues fencing from his mouth to hers and then back again. When at last they broke the kiss, he whispered, loud enough for everyone in the room to hear, "I love you. And I guess I'm glad that it happened this way."
