Аннотация
One of the problems with trailing or tracking dogs is uniformity. The inconsistency between different dogs limits what instructors can uniformly teach handlers. Using the method of training presented in this book will produce the uniformity that has been missing.
Kevin Kocher was a Deputy Sheriff and Bloodhound Handler for the Spotsylvania, Virginia Sheriffs Office. He trained and handled Bloodhounds for that agency for almost 20 years until multiple sclerosis forced him to retire in 2008. He is credited with recognizing and cataloging the negative indications all dogs show when following a trail. The book he wrote with his wife Robin Monroe Kocher, "Read Any Trailing or Tracking Dog by Understanding Negative Indications." has changed the way dogs are read across the USA, Europe and beyond. He also developed and has taught "The Kocher Method" of training explained in this book. After much prodding, he wrote this book and when his method is followed, success will be close behind.
Robin Monroe Kocher is a detective for the Spotsylvania Sheriffs Office. She is the founder of the National Bloodhound Training Institute (bloodhoundtraining.com), which offers the finest trailing dog instruction in the world. A top dog handler in her own right, she has handled many hounds successfully. Robin has instructed at numerous seminars in the USA and has shared her knowledge in Europe. She co-authored "Read Any Trailing or Tracking Dog by Understanding Negative Indications", and has contributed much information for this book.
